The three records that matter for email
MX records point mail to your servers. SPF lists which servers are allowed to send as your domain. DMARC tells receivers what to do with mail that fails checks — and gives you spoofing reports. Missing SPF or DMARC is the most common reason legitimate email lands in spam or gets spoofed.
